Tresticklan is one of southern Sweden's largest remaining roadless\, untouched old-growth forest areas\nWe are strictly limiting this event to **8 participants** due to local on-demand transit booking capacity.\n\n### 🏞️ About Tresticklan National Park & The Route\n\n[https://www.sverigesnationalparker.se/en/parks/tresticklan-national-park](https://www.sverigesnationalparker.se/en/parks/tresticklan-national-park)\nTresticklan offers a stunning\, rugged landscape characterized by long rift valleys\, pristine wilderness lakes\, and ancient pine forests.\n\n* **Day 1 (\\~10.6 km):** We will hike into the park following this trail ([https://mapy.com/s/dovekofaza](https://mapy.com/s/dovekofaza)). Along the way\, we plan to stop by **Tomte-Elias hule** (a historic cave with rich local folklore). We will set up camp near the **Budalsvika cabin** (located right near the Norwegian border)\, taking care to keep a respectful distance from the hut in case it is booked or occupied by other travelers. If conditions and regulations allow\, we aim to make a campfire.\n* **Day 2 (\\~9 km):** We will loop through the remaining trails ([https://mapy.com/s/dunedujuha](https://mapy.com/s/dunedujuha)) back toward our pickup location at the park border.\n\n### ⚠️ Important Notes & What to Bring\n\n* **Passport / ID Required:** Since our campsite at Budalsvika is right on the Norwegian border\, **please bring a valid passport or national photo ID** in case border controls or cross-border checks are active.\n* **Swimwear:** We plan to stop for a refreshing dip in one of Tresticklan’s beautiful lakes.\n* **Camping Gear:** Tent/tarp\, sleeping bag\, sleeping pad\, food\, water\, and suitable clothing for outdoor conditions. We will fill up water from the river at Budalsvika.\n\n### 🚌 Travel & Transit Logistics\n\nThis Trips demands ABC zone from västraffick.\n\n#### **Outbound Trip (Saturday)**\n\n* **08:08:** Train **Vy 384** (towards Halden) departs from **Göteborg Central**.\n* **09:28:** Arrive at **Ed station**. *(Total train time: 1 hr 20 min)*\n* **10:30 – 11:30:** On-Demand Transit (Närtrafik – 2 pre-booked cars for 8 people with gear) from **Ed Station** to **Rävmarken\, Tresticklans nationalpark 1** (National Park Parking).\n\n#### **Return Trip (Sunday)**\n\n* **15:30 – 16:30:** On-Demand Transit (Närtrafik) pickup from Tresticklan back to **Ed Station**.\n* **16:25:** Target train from **Ed station** to Gothenburg (arrival around **17:43**). *(Note: Exact timing for the return train journey back to Gothenburg will depend on the final Närtrafik pick-up window\, so we may take a slightly later train if needed.)*\n\nMer info: https://www.meetup.com/hiking-around-goteborg/events/315978621/
